The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is nearby (and the coastal bus passes the end of the drive - all you need to do is flag it down). Newport, the pearl of the Pembrokeshire coast, has some great pubs and superb restaurants, galleries and individual shops.

There is an excellent 18 hole links golf course just above the beach which enjoys glorious panoramic views of the beach and Newport and it welcomes non-residents.

This single storey holiday cottage, (originally the local Saddler's cottage) is situated in the small hamlet of Rhodiad y Brenin in Pembrokeshire.

It is within walking distance (exactly one mile) of Britain's smallest city, St Davids and, for the less energetic, it is only a couple of minutes drive.

St Davids boasts a lovely selection of eateries, galleries and shops and of course the magnificent cathedral and Bishop's Palace.

Whitesands beach, The Blue Lagoon and Porthgain harbour are all close by. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is easily accessed and a trip round Ramsey Island to see the birds and seals is recommended!

The cottage is ideally situated for a selection of beaches, coves and many other activities.

The hamlet of Iet-y-Bontpren is located at one end of Dinas which is between the seaside towns of Newport and Fishguard.   

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be joined nearby and the coastal walkers bus (and the service bus) pass the house.  

Dinas Island, Strumble Head, Newport beach, Cwm-yr-Eglwys beach and Pwllgwaelod beach are all within 10 to 20 minutes drive.

The holiday cottage is perfect for families and for walking and cycling holidays. 

There are grounds amounting to about half an acre - with parking area, lawns, picnic table, woodland shrubbery, enclosed fishpond , a stream and a natural spring.

There is an excellent pub "The Old Sailors" with restaurant overlooking the beach and nearby, in the village, a further selection of pubs and village shops. Fresh hot bread, cakes and "home cooked ready meals" are available daily from the farmhouse.
