High above the Gwaun Valley with glorious views of the Preseli hills - Brewery cottage is aptly named as the owners run The Gwaun Valley micro-brewery from the 155 acre sheep farm.  Real ales are brewed in the old fashioned way with malted barley, hops and local spring water. 

Newport, Dinas, Fishguard and Rosebush are all 5 miles from the cottage.  Newport and Fishguard have a selection of shops, galleries and eateries and there are lovely beaches at Dinas and at Newport. 

The coastal path and the Preseli Hills make for excellent walking.  

Bessie's pub is just a mile away and well worth a visit.  

Every Saturday an acoustic music evening is held in the Brewery.

The coastal path is easy to access at Solva where you will also find a selection of good eateries, galleries, pubs and the gorgeous harbour.

St Davids is Britain's smallest city and the cathedral is well worth a visit as are the many individual shops, artists, galleries and delicatessens.

Whitesands beach and Newgale beach are within 5 miles and offer lovely walking, bathing, surfing and birdwatching.

The coastal path offers miles of stunning walks to Abereiddi, Porthgain, Strumble Head and Newgale to name but a few.

It is a short drive to the rather chic and bohemian town of Narberth with its range of boutiques, galleries, delis and eateries. 

Tenby with its magnificent beaches and kaleidoscope of brightly painted Georgian buildings hugging the harbour wall is about 25 minutes by car. 

Don't forget the Pembrokeshire coastal path, magnificent beaches, coves and bays while you are here!

Set at the mouth of the river Nevern with Carningli Mountain (The Mount of Angels) with the medieval church and castle as a back drop Newport has it all!  The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path can be joined less than 5 minutes' walk away at the Iron Bridge on the upper reaches of the estuary where many different varieties of wading birds are spotted on a daily basis. 

There is a lovely walk to the Parrog which has a small beach and boat club.  Traeth Mawr - the "big beach" is a 20 minute walk away and offers a mile and a half of silver sand with rock pools, dunes, cliffs all backed by the 18 hole links golf course. 

The cottage is just a few minutes' walk from a fishmonger, butcher, baker, deli, general store and a selection of welcoming pubs and restaurants serving excellent food. 

This cottage is perfect for a couple or a small family at any time of the year.

The grounds have grassy trails and tree-lined paths leading to picnic spots and viewpoints. Excellent walks in the Gwaun Valley (from 1/2hr - 2hrs plus) without having to take the car- starting or ending up in the local pubs- the Bridgend Inn and Bessies.

The towns of Fishguard, Newport and Dinas are all within a 10 minute drive and offer a great selection of eateries, pubs, individual shops, artists studios and galleries.
