There is a cafe, shop & pub - Time flies at the Longhouse (open all year) in the holiday village nearby and another pub up the hill.

It is located about half a mile (10 minutes' walk) from the foreshore of the Cleddau Estuary known as the 'Secret Waterway'. 

It is a short drive to the rather chic and bohemian town of Narberth with its range of boutiques, galleries, delis and eateries. 

Tenby with its magnificent beaches and kaleidoscope of brightly painted Georgian buildings hugging the harbour wall is about 25 minutes by car. 

Don't forget the Pembrokeshire coastal path, magnificent beaches, coves and bays while you are here!

The restoration of this property was featured on BBC4 in George Clarke's Restoration Man programme which was broadcast first in February 2016.

If you can tear yourself away from the many beaches there are plenty of tourist attractions including Folly Farm, Caldey Island, Bosherston Lily Ponds or one of the many castles.

Dale Beach Boathouse Accommodation

Black Rock Boathouse provides a wonderful holiday location right on the water front at Dale beach in Pembrokeshire.

Dale is famous for it's watersports with sailing and windsurfing being very popular here. The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path is right outside the property and begs to be walked.  At the end of the bay is St Anne's Head with a lighthouse that guides shipping into Milford Haven Waterway. This is a magical place to stay with views over Dale beach and the rock pools just below the boathouse. 

Marloes beach is close by and you can take a boat trip from Martins Haven to the bird islands of Skomer, Skokholm and Grassholm where you will see numerous breeds including Puffins, Gannets, Shearwaters and Choughs. The Griffin pub (500 metres walk from the boathouse) serves good food and there is a surfers cafe for breakfasts and hot chocolates.

There are numerous coves and bays to explore; Swanlake Bay and Manorbier beach just a little farther along the Coastal Path.

Tenby and Saundersfoot are a short drive away. 

You may not want to leave the house at all during your holiday but, if you did, there is a pub just 5 minutes walk up the path, which serves good food.
